Backloading is an arrangement when removal clients share a truck as they move their items. Alternatively, the removal company could use an empty truck on a return trip to move a client. Backloading benefits the client and removal company. The client saves significant removal costs while the removal company optimises its resources. Remember, trucks suffer the same amount of wear, whether fully loaded or empty. Backloading helps the company optimise efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint. 

How Do You Plan Backloading? 

Your immediate task should be finding a removalist who offers backloading services. Typically, you should conduct due diligence to establish the removalist's expertise. For instance, you could assess how clients review their backloading service. Your next task is to create a removal plan. This document details the activities to conduct to prepare and execute the move.

Below are some insights to help you make the removal plan.

  • The removals date and time rely on when the other customer intends to move or the availability of a removal truck on the return journey. However, the removalist could negotiate with the other customer to ensure the removal date and time suits both parties.
